  • Wild Food Foraging, Plant Identification & Harvesting to make your own remedies

  • Herb Walk around the Monte & Field trip off site with Guest Herbalist Fernanda Botelho

  • Kundalini Yoga Kriya Exercises with Jen Gold, Guest Herbalist and Reiki Master, UK

 

Day 2 - Thurs 16th April - Getting Settled

  • Herbal Self Reliance & Fieldwork

  • Identify, Harvest and Make Your Own Medicines to Use at Home with Guest Herbalist Jen Gold

  • Meditation on identifying your 7 totum plant allies

  • Kundalini Yoga Kriya Exercises with Jen Gold
     

Day 3 - Fri 17th April - Finding Rhythm

  • Growing Herbs & Creating a Herbal Medicine Wheel

  • Planting by the Moon, Companion Planting & Other Growing Tips

  • Kundalini Yoga Kriya Exercises with Jen Gold

  • Herb Walk and Songs of the Earth Musical Evening (Can be attended separately by donation)


Day 4 - Sat 18th April -  Experiencing The Self

  • Food as Medicine & Spring Detox based on Ayurvedic Principles with Guest Herbalist Annie McIntyre

  • Herb Tasting to Determine Therapeutic Indications

  • Living Food Recipes to Suit your Temperament

Day 5 - Sun 19th April -  Landing

  • Build Your Own Herbal First Aid Kit - Making Preparations for Common Ailments

  • Introduction to Herbal Treatment of Children using Western Herbal and Ayurvedic Principles with Guest Herbalist Annie McIntyre

  • Contemplative Study & Meditation to Make Your Unique Herbal Remedy


Day 8 - Fri 24th April - Going Deeper

  • Using Essential Oils, Aromatic Waters & Flower Essences

  • Making Your Own Home Remedies like infused oils, creams, ointments and tinctures

  • Introduction to Basic Massage Techniques and Aromatherapy Oil Blending

  • Sacred Sauna/Sweatlodge (can be taken separately by donation)


Day 9 - Sat 25th April - Initiation

  • Hormonal Balance and Women's & Men's Health Using Herbs and Shamanic Practices with Guest Shamanic Practitioner Deva Shamin

  • The Way of Herbs for Managing Stress & Energy Stamina

  • Recapitulation of lost energy via a Soul Hunting Ceremony

     Come and spend a month in the life of a Herbalist and Medicine Musician on Quinta Melilotus, a working Herb Farm, just 15mins from Lagos, south west Algarve, Portugal Join us for a unique experience working and learning alongside Maureen and Jose on their land just minutes from historic coastal town of Lagos, sandy beaches and cliff walks amongst West Algarve's unique flora. Quinta Melilotus is based on 6.6ha of almond, fig and olive groves and the new herb and vegetable gardens where you will be working and eating from.

The Herbal Path 2016

 

The 2016 edition of The Herbal Path course has finished.
We are so blessed for all the participants we had the pleasure to meet in this year's event.
Thank you to all the teachers and helpers that made this event so special.
The plants were, once again, the stars of the show with the way they keep showing us the path forward to honor and save our Mother Planet.

We are already planning the 2017 adventure!
